Which photo works best?
You don't need a studio photo. Our designers enjoy working with a natural snapshot, provided you pay attention to:
- Clear face — sharp eyes, no shadow over the top.
- Daylight. Lamp light makes skin or fur tones orange.
- Character over perfection. A smile, a tilted head, that one look — that's what lives in cross-stitch.
- Enough pixels. A modern phone photo in original quality is more than sufficient; a cropped app photo is often too small.

What size is suitable for a memorial?

- 50×70 cm — wall portrait, you can even see subtle shadows in the face.

How long does the making process itself take?
Expect 25–75 hours, depending on the size and your experience. Many people find these hours valuable — not as waiting, but as part of the process.
What if I've never embroidered before?
